Munchen, 15. November 2011 – on the tokyo motor show (3. To 11. December 2011) bmw introduces the activehybrid 5 and the x5 with blueperformance. The activehybrid 5 is the second hybrid model of the brand. The suv x5 should be extinguished with a complex exhaust aftertreatment particularly little seepiece.
The activehybrid 5 is designed as a full-hybrid and combines a series socket cylinder gasoline engine with an electric drive as well as an eight-speed automatic and a lithium-ion battery with each other. The serial socket cylinder comes to 306 hp, the electric motor does 40 kw (55 hp). The system performance indicates bmw with 340 hp. With this performance, bmw is clearly compelling competitors such as audi, which settle the hybrid drive rather in the range between 200 and 250 hp.
At speeds up to 60 km / h, the limousine can drive purely electric. The average consumption is between 6.4 and 7.0 l / 100 km according to bmw. The internal combustion engine can also be switched off in the so-called sail mode at speeds of up to 160 km / h in eco pro mode and completely decoupled. In japan, however, this high value is only of little concern, because there is a speed limit of 100 km / h. In germany, the activehybrid 5 comes in the spring of 2012 from 62.900 euros on the market.
