Frankfurt / hair, 17. January 2012 – at frankfurter automesse iaa in september 2011, fiat introduced the facelift of the punto. The look was hardly changed, in the engines palette, however, a lot. The facelift also accounted for the additional designation evo.
Twinair in the punto
There was not much of a lot of exercise: the new version has the chrome bar on the front falls away. Much more important, however, the changes under the bonnet. To the known engines with 69, 77 and 105 hp, the 0.9 8v twinair comes with 85 hp, which has already left an excellent impression in the smaller fiat 500. Thus, fiat offers three motors within a bandwidth of 16 hp. In the medium term, however, the 69- and the 77-horsepower engine were eliminated, because already long has known that fiat is a weaker version of the twinair engine with 65 hp. When this variant comes to the market, nobody could tell us on demand at fiat.
Unlike in the price list of august 2011, the 135 hp variant 1 will be released in the new one.4 16v multiair turbo. This turbo gasin drives the 500 abarth and was already earlier for the punto evo.
Two new diesel
For the diesel engines there was only one 1.3 multijet with 75 hp, who attributed to the future. He is replaced by two versions of the 1.3-liter motor, which afford 85 hp and 95 hp. Especially economical is the 85-horsepower variant. She is said to be in the nefz with only 3.5 liters of fuel to 100 kilometers.
Finally, the punto is also offered as a natural gas variant, the 1.4 8v natural power. He performs in natural gas mode 70, with gasoline 77 hp. All motorizations over the natural gas version and the basic variant pop are delivered with start-stop automatic.
